GAMMA HYDROXY BUTYRATE (GHB)
It's a fact
GHB is a central nervous system depressant. It was developed in 1961
to treat alcoholism and sleep disorders. It was also used by bodybuilders
as a growth hormone stimulant. GHB was banned in 1990 due to several cases
of acute poisoning. It is still legally produced in Europe. It is illegally
produced in the U.S. in clandestine laboratories. Along with ketamine
and "ruffies", GHB has become known as a "date rape"
drug. It can be dissolved and hidden in a drink because it is odorless
and tasteless. Some of the effects of GHB are loss of inhibitions and
memory loss.
