Too Good for Drugs & Violence — Staff Development is an enjoyable and interactive curriculum specifically designed for educators. This program energizes and inspires teachers, counselors and other instructors to maximize their effectiveness and create a classroom climate which reduces risk factors, builds protective factors and supports resiliency. Too Good for Drugs & Violence — Staff Development features classroom-tested
solutions in a curriculum that meets and exceeds standards set by the National Staff Development Council. This program may be presented through in-service workshops or as 10 separate sessions. These sessions include:

• skills for communication

Too Good for Drugs & Violence — Staff Development features “Sharpen Your Skills,” a short survey for each protective factor component. Each survey includes 10 strategies to build on one protective factor. By giving you an overview of the educator behaviors, attitudes and beliefs that enhance each protective factor, these short surveys encourage you and your colleagues to:

• identify strategies you are already implementing well
• target areas for improvement
• write goals and action plans aligning your professional practices with research-based strategies
